VOLUNTEERING

The museum needs you! Do you want to develop your practical skills, engage with the public or delve deeper into the fascinating history of 'La'al Ratty'? Are you interested in trying something new in 2017?

If so then we'd love to hear from you - we're always looking for volunteers to get involved with our exciting museum extension project and restore our historic rolling stock, catalogue the railway archive or engage with the public in our new Museum (June 2017) and restored Furness Railway Signal Box.

We welcome anyone who would like to get involved with archiving or engaging with visitors, and particularly new volunteers to help restore rolling stock and other objects in our collection. Come and get involved whatever your existing experience or skills - whether you can weld or handle a paintbrush, we'd welcome your help and training can be provided.

If you would like to know more then please give us a call!
